Shutter Speed and Aperture

This was my first time using a professional camera and trying to take the pictures expertly, so I was kind of nervous to start out my first assignment about shutter speed and aperture. I usually just take pictures of friends and family, so this was a big change for me. Therefore, I started out by reading the instructions for the camera. I actually had to Google them because I borrowed the camera and they didn't really come with them. Anyway, I shamefully admit that I didn't finish reading them, but I did read the parts about the basic functions, shutter speed, and aperture. After, to get out of the mind-frame of simple pictures, I decided to go outside to my backyard woods. I took a few pictures and tried to get used to the buttons, but none of them came out really good. So I waited a few days to start over and then, actually felt pretty comfortable with the camera. I ended up taking a few good pictures. They're of course not as professionally done as they could be, but over time as I get better they will, too.
I hope you like them! Here they are:
